VISION
To be a department that carries world-class education quality in the field of midwifery, trains fully equipped technically and practically, and conducts scientific activities and studies in the national and international arena. In addition, it is to contribute to the goal of protecting pregnant, newborn and child health, increasing the quality of life, and accessing the care of a midwife for each woman and her newborn baby.
MISSION
To define the midwife at national and international level in the light of scientific knowledge. To have knowledge of the role of midwife, responsibilities, ethical aspects, relevant laws and regulations. To be able to define the problems of the midwifery profession, to develop appropriate strategies in cooperation with national and international professional organizations. To be aware of holistic and individualized health care concepts. To determine the midwifery service needs of women, newborns, family and society and to provide the necessary service. To provide high quality, culturally sensitive, health education and service to relevant individuals in order to provide healthy family life, positive parents and planned pregnancies. To be able to know and apply the methods and techniques used in the field, as well as to follow the technological developments, as well as the necessary knowledge and skills on women, newborns, child health and diseases, normal and risky birth, pregnancy process. To be able to communicate effectively between women, their families, social groups and health teams. To be able to provide midwifery services that improve women's, children's, newborns, family and community health, prevent and support diseases, and provide training, consultancy and necessary care for common diseases.
