  • For the health and welfare of the society; To have basic theoretical and practical knowledge with a holistic approach in line with scientific developments in the field of health and midwifery.
  • Aware of the concept of health as a social phenomenon; To be able to provide the necessary service by determining the midwifery service needs of women, newborns, families and society.
  • Having normal births under one's own responsibility.
  • Ability to identify risky situations, develop and implement evidence-based solution suggestions using the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of midwifery.
  • Ability to use intradisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches as a member of the healthcare team.
  • Ability to use appropriate interpersonal communication and management skills,
  • Ability to conduct scientific research and use it in midwifery practices.
  • Ability to improve oneself by embracing the importance of lifelong learning and following developments in science-technology and contemporary issues.
  • Ability to cooperate with national and international professional organizations and non-governmental organizations that will support the development of the midwifery profession.
