VISION
Our aim is to be a department that carries world-class education quality in the field of midwifery, trains midwives who are fully equipped in technical and practical terms, and conducts scientific activities and studies at national and international levels. In addition, it is to contribute to the goal of protecting the health of pregnant women, newborns and children, improving the quality of life, and ensuring that every woman has access to the care of a midwife for herself and her newborn baby.
MISSION
To define midwives at national and international levels in the light of scientific knowledge. To have a good command of the midwifery role, responsibilities, ethical aspects, and relevant laws and legislation. To be able to define the problems of the midwifery profession and to develop appropriate strategies in cooperation with national and international professional organizations. To be aware of holistic and individualized health care concepts. To determine the midwifery service needs of women, newborns, families and society and to provide the necessary service. To be able to provide high quality, culturally sensitive, health education and services to relevant individuals to ensure healthy family life, positive parents and planned pregnancies. In addition to the necessary knowledge and skills about women, newborns and children's health and diseases, normal and risky birth, pregnancy process, knowing and applying the methods and techniques used in the field and being able to follow technological developments.To be able to communicate effectively between women, their families, social groups and healthcare teams. To provide midwifery services that improve the health of women, children, newborns, families and society, prevent and support diseases, and provide education, consultancy and necessary care for common diseases.
